Photographed in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, this image captures Lake Tasman on one of those rare, still days when the water turns luminous turquoise. The glacial flour suspended in the lake catches the high-country light and creates a colour that barely looks real — soft, milky, and bright all at once.
The mountains behind are the eastern faces of Aoraki and the surrounding peaks, their ridgelines sharp but not harsh in the midday clarity. The foreground is simple: dark moraine rock and a small meltwater pool, enough texture to ground the frame without pulling focus.
This is a clean, spacious landscape — striking without noise, vibrant without exaggeration. It works beautifully as a standalone print or alongside your Tekapo and Moke Lake pieces for a quiet, consistent South Island set.
